Who writes Doorstep Evidence and how each rule is checked

An independent LitBuy guide built around one subject: the evidence a buyer makes when a parcel arrives wrong. Here is how we work and where our limits are.

The reason for a doorstep-only LitBuy guide

This guide follows the buying journey with additional detail on delivery evidence, because records made at receipt may affect a later claim. What we do differently: every rule is tied to a dated LitBuy page, the tool prints an order rather than a promise, and the catalogue is sorted by the evidence each category needs.

We keep the site small on purpose: thirteen pages, each with one job. Dead links are checked and fixed rather than left in place, and every page shows the date we last read LitBuy's own wording.

What this site is for.

How each LitBuy rule is checked

We read LitBuy's help articles and footer policies directly, note each article's update stamp, and copy short quotes only where the exact words matter. When LitBuy contradicts itself, both versions appear side by side with the newer one named, and we never merge them into a rule LitBuy did not write.

Images on this site are LitBuy's own published examples or our own diagrams. Personal details visible on LitBuy's example photos are blurred. Before each update we test the stepper against fixed cases and re-check every outbound link.

Dates follow one convention: the date a LitBuy page says it was updated, and the date we read it. When the two are months apart, as they are for several help articles, we still quote the page as written; an old page is not a wrong page until LitBuy replaces it.

Lines this guide does not cross

We will not estimate compensation, because LitBuy does not publish its standards. We will not say that a video or photo guarantees an outcome. We will not suggest that any evidence proves a product is genuine, and we do not help with buying counterfeit goods, which LitBuy forbids.

We do not advise under-declaring parcels, refusing deliveries to force a refund, or entering reward schemes while a claim is open. And we do not rank agents: the picking page offers questions to ask, not a league table.

Independence, invite links and money

LitBuy Spreadsheet Doorstep Evidence is independent of LitBuy. Links to open a LitBuy account carry a partner invite code, which may credit us if you register; that does not change what we write, and no page here is paid placement. Catalogue cards link to category pages of a third-party finds catalogue.

LitBuy's own site terms come from LITBUY LIMITED in the United Kingdom. We have no access to LitBuy accounts, tickets or decisions, and we cannot act on your behalf in a claim.

If LitBuy ever asks us to change a page, the request and the change will be logged like any other correction on the notices page.

Spotted an error: how corrections reach us

If a LitBuy page has changed since we read it, or you think we have misread one, write to [email protected] with the page link. We correct the page, add an entry to the change log on the notices page and note the date.

We cannot help with individual claims or contact LitBuy for you. For that, use LitBuy's ticket system after logging in.
